HERITAGE PATH

Why This Movement?
Recognising the international diaspora will have positive impacts at home and abroad. Globally, the British and Irish diaspora remain aligned to a common culture and represent an enormous pool of talent, capability and entrepreneurship.
India offers the Overseas Citizens of India Card which has been taken up by over 4 million people in the last 20 years. We are proposing a similar, heritage-based route to regcognition at a time when we are questioning our loss of heritage and looking for ways to preserve and strengthen Anglo-Celtic culture.

A Heritage card is not about politics or division, but rather a positive, pro-heritage movement to redefine our cultural legacy.
About Us
Heritage Path is about recognition and rights for the global Anglo-Celtic diaspora. We believe that the global community with roots in England, Scotland, Wales, or Ireland play a significant role in the preservation of Anglo-Celtic heritage and culture.

Millions trace their ancestry to the United Kingdom or Ireland. Yet, there is no clear and consistent pathway for descendants to return and participate in the living culture of their ancestors. Now is the time to change that.

Heritage Path is engaging the UK and Irish Governments to recognise the Anglo-Celtic descendants by putting in place a special visa class or immigration act change to establish true ancestry rights.

Our goal is the creation of a Heritage Card, a lifetime visa that grants the right to live, work, and travel within the UK and Ireland for those with proven heritage.
Our Plan
We begin with one step: sign up and show your support for the Heritage Path vision.
Your participation helps demonstrate the global demand for a heritage visa and builds our case for change. As we grow, we will:
-
Build a credible support base through online sign ups and partnership with diaspora
-
Establish a legal and policy framework and draft legislative note in consultation immigration and nationality lawyers
-
Engage MPs, peers and the media to bring the a Heritage Card into public discourse and start to build institutional and political endorsement
-
Support legislative implementation and expand Heritage Path through ongoing development of diaspora opportunities
